A Warm Welcome

I welcome all of you to my new blog!  I haven't had one of these in quite a while and I figured since I always have something on my mind, then why not create a new one!  On a side note:  I don't really like how my headline picture is not centered.  I have absolutely no idea how to fix that though!  So, I will have to try and figure that out another time.  It is 1:45 in the AM and I really should be sleeping due to having to go to work in 7 hours and 15 minutes!  I got so excited designing this and everything that sleep just erased from my mind!  I know that I will be kicking myself in the morning!

So, tomorrow is NEW YEARS EVE GUYS?!?!  How does that make you feel?  It makes me feel relieved honestly because this year could have gone a lot better for me and my family.  There has been a lot of stressful situations that we have had to deal with and to top it all off...my Great Grandmother passed away Saturday, December 18th and it has been very difficult for everybody...especially since it was right before Christmas.  HOWEVER, she was 97 years, 8 months, and 12 days old!  So, she had a really long and fulfilling life!  I feel so greatful and honored to have had her in my life for almost 23 years, however, that doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt.  It still does.  I'm sure it will for quite some time.  Our whole family was pretty much there with her when she died.  I was the one that noticed her not breathing anymore and my wonderful mother was holding her hand.  It was extremely difficult but I strongly recommend it.  I believe that the dying never die alone.  That there are people that have passed away before them guiding their way. I also believe that having someone there would help them to feel comfortable.  A loved one (or more than one) to let them know that they will be fine and to stop fighting.

Wow, this turned into kind of a sad and depressing first entry.  That was not my intention!  However, it is not 2 AM and I really need to get my couple chores completed before I can get me and my diggy dogs to bed.  I can already almost feel how wonderful it is going to be laying under the covers and snuggling up to my furry best friends!!!  Night everyone!

This is me and my Great Gram at her 94th Birthday party!  She always looked AMAZING for her age RIGHT?!?!
